This far exceeds my baking skills but I do wish I could do something like this. Who wants to try their hand at baking this apple pie in an apple? I’ll volunteer to do the tasting!

Ever watch the show Intervention? It’s on A&E and it’s pretty much like a train wreck you can’t look away from. Rubbernecking at its best, only on TV. I would say 8 out of 10 episodes feature someone addicted to meth, in addition to a myriad of other substances, both legal and illegal. I’ve known a couple of people with meth problems (I could make my very own Jerry Springer episode) and it’s not pretty. It’s a nasty, nasty drug that will fuck you up mentally, physically and everything in between, possibly forever.
And while this isn’t meant to be my own personal PSA, I just came across these TV ads shot for The Meth Project by Academy Award nominee, Darren Aronofsky. While graphic and somewhat hard to watch, I’d say he paints a pretty realistic picture of the devastation this drug can cause. Watch and learn, kids.
Moral of the story? Drugs are bad, mkay?
Thanksgiving is a week away – how – I don’t know. But it is. However, I am not celebrating (observing? what do you call it?) Thanksgiving this year because my happy ass will be in Thailand – having spicy noodles on turkey day! So hopefully you’ve all planned your feasts accordingly because I’m not giving you anything Thanksgiving related today.

Brightly colored jeans seem to be quite hot this season. I’ve started noticing them popping up in all the local stores and see more and more people wearing them around town. At first, I wasn’t sold on the idea. I had a couple pairs of red pants several years ago but none since and not in any other color aside from traditional blue or black denim. Now, however, I am quite smitten with the whole colored jeans idea. It is such an easy way to add some personality to your outfit while still being a comfy jean staple you can rely on.

Exactly 9 days until I’m jetting off to another continent – Asia to be exact! I am committed to only taking a carry-on for 2 weeks and I’m kinda freaking out about it. I am sort of known for overpacking; even on overnight trips.
